2014 BCS National Championship: Alabama Goes From Favorite to 75-1 Odds to Win

How amazing is it that the Alabama Crimson Tide went from being an invincible favourite to win the 2014 BCS National Championship just last week and are now a 75-1 long shot at Sportsbook.com.  This is quite the dramatic change.

Auburn, now at near 3/1 odds of winning the 2014 BCS Championship, stunned number one ranked Alabama on Saturday in another miracle final seconds play…..well, not even seconds.

There was no time left on the clock when Auburn's Chris Davis caught a missed field goal and returned it for the game winner.

Some were calling it “the greatest ending in College Football history”.

Ivan Maisel of ESPN.com:

So it's possible that the way that No. 4 Auburn dethroned No. 1 Alabama 34-28, will be eclipsed. But at this moment Saturday night, with the cheers at Jordan-Hare Stadium still reverberating from here to Columbus, Ohio, it doesn't seem possible at all. With the clock showing all zeroes, Davis returned Adam Griffith’s Hail Mary of a 57-yard field goal attempt 109 yards for a touchdown.

Florida State and Ohio State, meanwhile, remain undefeated.  FSU was the favourite to win the BCS Championship at 3/1 while OSU was coming in at 4/1.

Missouri had long odds of 8/1 with a single loss on the season.

Alabama 75/1

Auburn +350

Florida St 3/1

Missouri 81

Ohio St 4/1
