We have your early game trends here and now we look at the late afternoon games for 2023 Week 17 NFL.  This is in addition to the Sunday Night Football game.

49ers vs. Raiders - The line on this one has been especially fluid, moving from 49ers -5.5 to -9.5. We get a number of San Francisco 3.49.  There was an early overlay of 2 points that has now turned into a 6 point overlay.  These types of overlays do provide the underdogs with a significant advantage.  The 49ers move up a spot in the playoffs simply by winning their final two games over the Raiders and Arizona Cardinals.  In that sense, this game is still meaningful.  The Raiders can still get into the playoffs even with their 6-9 record.  They'll have to somehow find a way to win this one and next week's game against Kansas City then get plenty of help.  Despite the overlay advantage, this line span does not necessarily calculate into that equation so we'd be resistant to backing the Raiders here.

Jets vs. Seahawks - The Jets have gone from -2.5 to -1.5 over the course of this past week. We actually get a number of 0.20 Seattle, suggesting the wrong team is favored here.  There is also a 3 point overlay.  That's a big edge for Seattle.  According to FiveThirtyEight.com, the Seahawks (7-8) have a 27 percent chance to make the NFC playoffs, while the Jets (7-8) have a 15 percent shot to make the AFC field.

Vikings vs. Packers - The line here is +3 Vikings.  Not surprisingly, this one is dead on with our number coming in at Green Bay 2.75.

Rams vs. Chargers - This one has gone from Rams +8 to +6.5.  Our number is 5.05 for the Chargers.  There has been a 1.5 to 3 point overlay during the course of this past week. There is a slight edge for the dog but not enough for a pick in this spread range with the overlay.

Steelers vs. Ravens - The Steelers (7-8) remain alive in the playoff hunt entering Sunday but will know if they've been eliminated should Miami beat New England in their early game.  That means the line could get a jolt with the idea that the game no longer matters as much for Pittsburgh.  Gambling911.com has New England covering the spread as a favorite in that one.  This one opened at +3.5 and has moved to +2.5 Steelers.  We get a number of 4.87 but the Lamar Jackson injury isn't entirely reflected in the Ravens number still.  It's still about a 1-point underlay at 2.5.  There is no edge that we see and you'll want to avoid betting this game early with all the question marks.
