49ers Ravens Line

The folks from DonBest.com believed the 49ers Ravens line would settle in around -2.5 in favor of Baltimore.  Instead, the spread was now -3.5 and that is where it should settle in now that action was balanced.  San Francisco had been getting just over 60 percent of the action on the spread early on as the +3 dog.

Key Betting Tips:

*San Francisco flying all the way to the East Coast after playing just this past Sunday must take on one of the toughest defenses in Baltimore.

“I have been talking about this game for over a month,” noted Brian Blessing of DonBest.com (see video below).  “San Francisco, what an unbelievable season they have had.  What an unbelievable job Jim Harbaugh (49ers head coach) is doing.  And we are going to get all the nonsense with the brothers and the Thanksgiving and the that.”

Blessing referred to Jim Harbaugh going up against brother John as head coach of the Baltimore Ravens.

The problem, Blessing notes, is that San Francisco flew out on Wednesday (that would be yesterday) all the way to the East Coast after playing on Sunday.

“Alex Smith a half practice, maybe one practice, against the Ravens defense.  It is just a horrible spot for the 9ers.  I just don’t see any way in which Baltimore does not just light them up.”

For those looking at the total, we should note that Baltimore also played a tough game against the Bengals.  They had an extra day to practice, however.  The total is 40.  Baltimore lost to Seattle, scoring just 17 points, after playing a rough game against Pittsburgh.  The same can probably be said of their Jacksonville loss after playing on the road against the NFL’s top defensive team, Houston.

And remember that heartbreaking loss to Dallas in San Francisco (the 49ers only loss of the season)?  That one went into overtime.  The 49ers had to fly into Cincinnati the next week and only managed to score 13 points, albeit that was a win.

We would like the UNDER if the number was a little higher, say 45 or 46.  The probably we at Gambling911.com have is that both teams have managed to score 20 points or more in three of their last four games, including versus a few top teams.  Likewise, Baltimore’s opponents have scored 20 or more points over the last four games, and we are fairly confident San Francisco can do the same.  In fact, it is almost tempting to take the OVER in this game, but we’ll stop just short of doing that.

There aren’t really any significant trends that go against either team coming into this game.  The 49ers are 12-3-1 Against The Spread in their last 16 games overall while the Ravens are 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 games after accumulating more than 350 total yards in their previous game.

The Gambling911.com play on this game will be the Baltimore Ravens as the -3.5 favorite at Bookmaker.
