49ers vs. Packers Betting Line: Ice Bowl 2 as Green Bay Temperatures Brutal

The 49ers vs. Packers betting line was coming in at San Francisco -2.5 at BetDSI.com, a bit surprising considering this is expected to be one of the coldest NFL games ever played.  This will be a great game to bet on LIVE and you can do this every play, every minute as the game is happening at BetDSI.com here.  Also qualify to receive up to $2500 in FREE BETS.

In case you were wondering, this line has already been shaded down in favor of Green Bay to some degree.  San Francisco was coming into this game with a 13 point edge based on power rankings.  Four points gets deducted from that number playing in Green Bay while two or three points can be subtracted based on starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers being back in the lineup.  78 percent of the betting public still favors San Francisco at that number.

With temperatures dipping below zero at game time, it’s doubtful even the Packers will have much tolerance for what may be billed as the Ice Bowl 2.  This is expected to be one of the coldest games ever played in NFL history.

The original Ice Bowl was a nickname for the 1967 NFL Championship Game  between the Dallas Cowboys and the Green Bay Packers played at Lambeau Field.  The Packers won that game by a final score of 21-17 in temperatures that bottomed out at 15 degrees below zero.

The frigid temperatures have had more of an impact on the total for this game, which dipped from 48.5 to 46.5.

While it is true, San Francisco had beaten Green Bay three times in the last two years, including a game in Green Bay, the Packers have only lost five games at home over the past three seasons.  Three of those games were lost this season without Aaron Rodgers in the lineup or unable to finish the game (as was the case with the loss against Chicago).
