2015-16 Projections and Expectations
Defensively, we know that Alabama will be among the best in the SEC, and likely to be in the top 10 of most defensive categories nationally. Offensively, we simply do not know what to expect from offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin this season, while he will have plenty of new faces in camp to figure out who will start at quarterback. With a daunting opening game against Wisconsin in Arlington, Texas, and a difficult November with LSU, Mississippi State and Auburn to close the season, this will be one of the toughest seasons for the fans at Tuscaloosa in a few seasons.
We simply do not see the Tide as the cream of the crop in the SEC, nor nationally, so we certainly do not suggest making any bets on them to win the SEC title game, nor advance to the BCS playoff. This will be no less than a two-loss season for the Tide, and the quarterback and secondary issues will rear their ugly heads at the wrong point of some of their bigger games, which will cost them their title chances this season.
