Alabama Crimson Tide odds for 2011-2012 were coming in at 5/1 or +500 to win the BCS National Championship at Bookmaker.

The last time Alabama had 9 starters on defense (2009), the Tide won the BCS National Championship.

Their defense last year finished 5th in the nation in scoring and 6th in total yards allowed per game.

The Tide are expected to have one of the best offenses in the nation.

Trent Richardson, Brent Calloway and Eddie Lacy will help boost Alabama's rushing attack.

In regard to the schedule, there will be challenges, the most significant of which will be road games versus Penn State, Florida, Mississippi State and Auburn.
