The Arizona Cardinals odds to win the 2012 Super Bowl were set at 50/1 at BetDSI.com.  Odds of winning the NFC Conference Championship were set at 30/1, paying $3000 on a $100 bet.

With Kevin Kolb in the quarterback position and Larry Fitzgerald his go-to guy along with plenty of talent on offense, this looks like an Arizona team that can put up plenty of points.

But then there’s the defense.  Ray Horton becomes the Cardinals new Defensive Coordinator.  He helped lead the Steelers defense to finish second overall last season.  The only downside is that they lost Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie.

Here is the great news:  The schedule favors Arizona in a pretty big way.

In a previous article, Gambling911.com noted how the oddsmakers had given the Cardinals an OVER/UNDER regular season win total of 7 while 11 wins seems more probable on paper.

Arizona will be flying under the radar for a good portion of this season.  Part of the equation used to derive that OVER/UNDER 7 has to do with the Cardinals difficulties playing on the East Coast.  A strong team like that which is being developed in Arizona this season should be able to overcome such obstacles.
