The folks at Sportsbook.com have posted a line of Over/Under 9 for the Atlanta Falcons 2010 regular season wins total.  The betting line was also priced at -145 on the OVER, which means the oddsmakers believe strongly that the Falcons will win 10 games or more.

Gambling911.com featured its Atlanta Falcons NFL season preview for the 2010 – 2011 season whereby I pointed out that the Falcons are in one of the tougher divisions in the NFL and should be right there in the mix with the Saints and Panthers for top billing. Considering they have averaged 10 wins over the last two seasons, and assuming Ryan is healthy, there's no reason to believe that they can reach double-digits again. It is hard to imagine them only mustering up eight wins so worst case, this bet is a push.

Last year’s winning season resulted in the first time the Falcons have ever had back-to-back winning seasons, and this is in a division featuring the reigning Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints.

Keep in mind this is a Falcons team that went 9-7 last year and was injury riddled.

Unless quarterback Matt Ryan goes down completely, that -145 price on the OVER 9 regular season wins makes sense to bet.

Take it from a woman who’s been doing this for quite a number of years now for the Gambling911.com website.
