Atlanta Falcons vs. New York Giants odds opened at Giants -6 with the line moving up to -6 ½ at Sports Interaction.  Some books were moving this one to -7.  Both the money line and spread were getting over 95 percent of the backing at press time.

The Giants and Falcons have identical records at 5-4 coming into this one.

As a rookie quarterback last year, quarterback Matt Ryan was one of the league's best stories, leading Atlanta to a surprise playoff spot. After a fast start this year, however, Ryan has struggled. In his last five games, he is completing just 54.9 percent of his passes with seven touchdowns and 10 interceptions.

Meanwhile, Antonio Pierce makes the defensive calls for the Giants out of his middle linebacker spot and he is one of the team's vocal leaders. New York's defense has not played well during a four-game losing skid, but a bye week has given Pierce and the Giants a chance to regroup.

Amazingly, the road team has won all of the last 10 games in this series, which bodes well for the Falcons.  The Giants squashed Atlanta during their last two meetings, however, the series over the past 10 is split.

Some important Atlanta Falcons vs. New York Giants odds trends to consider before betting on this game include:

A very good trend in favor of Atlanta whereby they are 10-1 ATS in their last 11 games following a S.U. loss and 9-2 ATS in their last 11 games following a ATS loss..

The Falcons are 33-16-4 ATS in their last 53 games after allowing more than 150 yards rushing in their previous game.

The Falcons are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games following a bye week.

The Falcons are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 vs. NFC.

The Giants are 15-5-1 ATS in their last 21 games after allowing less than 90 yards rushing in their previous game.

The Giants are 39-19-3 ATS in their last 61 vs. NFC.

The Giants are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 home games vs. a team with a winning road record.

The Giants are 2-6-1 ATS in their last 9 games following a bye week.
