The Baltimore Ravens odds to win the 2014 Super Bowl were set at 30/1 at Ace Sportsbook.com.  These are some of the longest odds offered for a reigning Super Bowl champion.

Now keep in mind that Joe Flacco is still the starting quarterback, and a good one at that.

Baltimore has all but been written off thanks to the retirement of Ray Lewis.  It doesn’t help that Anquan Boldin was traded away.  In the end, more than five premium players had been shed from the Ravens squad.

There is reason to believe in the Ravens success for the 2013-2014 season.

The talent that remains: Torrey Smith, who could become a number one receiver.

Dennis Pitta, Ed Dickson and Bernard Pierce should each emerge as top players for the Ravens.

There are some who believe that this year’s defense could be an improvement over that which featured Lewis.

In the end, the 30/1 odds being offered on the Baltimore Ravens to win the 2014 Super Bowl is pretty over the top and, dare we say, excellent value
