Baylor Odds to Win the 2014 BCS Championship at 12-1: Opened 200-1
Baylor odds to win the 2014 BCS Championship were coming in at 12-1 immediately following Thursday night’s big win. A handful of European bookmakers were offering the long odds. US-facing Sportsbook.com was expected to offer odds shorter than 10-1 later Friday.
Baylor is one of three schools still undefeated and in the hunt for a BCS Championship. Alabama and Florida State are the only teams left who have not lost any games thus far during the 2013 regular College Football season. The Oregon Ducks had been undefeated heading into their game against Stanford Thursday night as well but were beaten 26-20.
Remarkably, the Bears opened as 200-1 long shots to win the title. Gambling911.com was not aware at press time of how many individuals had placed future bets on Baylor at that price.
“There are hardcore Baylor fans who most certainly placed a future bet on their favorite team heading into this season,” acknowledged Don Shapiro of Gambling911.com. “How much these fans were willing to risk is a different story.”
This is a school, after all, that enjoyed a historic 2011-2012 season. Baylor set an NCAA record for most combined wins in the four major collegiate sports: baseball, men's and women's basketball, and football. The football team finished 8-5.
The payout on a $10 bet should they win at 200-1 odds: $2000. A $100 bet pays an amazing $20,000!!!!
Today’s odds would pay $120 for every $10 bet but you better lock this price in now.
