Bears-Panthers Betting Line: Week 5 Fantasy Value for Jay Cutler, Matt Forte

Chicago won the last two games in this series from 2012 and 2011, respectively, but by only a one-point margin in the last meeting.

Carolina is 13-4 Straight Up in its last 17 games while Chicago is 7-17-1 ATS in its last 25 games.  The Bears are 7-19 ATS against conference opponents over the past three years.

As for fantasy players, Chicago’s Jay Cutler will face a Carolina team that has llowed an average of 20 fantasy points to opposing teams while Cutler has garnered at least 16 standard fantasy points in each start this season, having thrown multiple touchdowns.

As for Chicago’s Matt Forte, ESPN.com notes that the Panthers allowed the most receptions to running backs last season and have already allowed 20 receptions and two touchdowns to backs through the first month of the 2014 campaign.  His receiving role makes Forte a “must have” for this week’s fantasy play.

Also note that the Panthers are allowing the eighth-most points per game to the wide receivers position.
