Bears vs. Lions Week 15 Betting Odds
The Bears vs. Lions odds for Saturday’s 4:30 pm EST game had Detroit as a -5 home favorite after opening at -6.
This is a meaningless game for the Bears but that doesn’t take away from the rivalry here and, if the Lions believe Chicago will not show up here, they will be sadly mistaken.
Detroit has won eight of the last nine games in this series though their last two home games against the Bears were won by a mere three points. In fact, the last five games of this series were won by four or fewer points.
The Lions do have very slim Playoff hopes coming into this game as Minnesota continues to dominate the division and Aaron Rodgers returns to Green Bay. The Lions and Packers have identical 7-6 records.
Detroit quarterback Matthew Stafford completed 36 of his 44 passes for 381 yards in a 24-21 victory at Tampa Bay on Sunday despite the injury he suffered the previous week in Baltimore. He is still not 100 percent coming into this game.
Stafford won't complain about a rushing attack that averages a league-low 76.3 yards per game.
"I just want to win," he said. "If we have to throw it a bunch of times to do that, I'm all for it. I love throwing the ball."
The injury didn't hinder him last week and Stafford doubts it will be a factor against the Bears.
"It's getting better," he said. "I'm spending a lot of time in the training room to feel as good as I can."
The NFL Betting Power Ratings do have the line at Detroit -6.5. Action is balanced. The line has been drifting from -6.5 to -4.
