Books Crushed Again With Patriots Cover

For the third straight week, bookmakers have taken a hit in the NFL, and this week it was all about the New England Patriots dismantling the Bills on the road.

Dave Mason of BetOnline revealed via Twitter:

Not even close. The Patriots - Bills will be our biggest sweat. 87% of $ on NE. Tons of volume. Twice as much $$$ on them than next closest team (Falcons).

New England beat Buffalo 23-3.  It was the Patriots eighth straight victory.  They were around a 2-1 favorite to win Super Bowl 52.

The good news for books is that most of the high volume games were seeing relatively balanced action.

Monday night’s Steelers-Bengals game had Pittsburgh getting around 75% of the early betting action with a spread of -5.
