Bucs-Vikings Line

Two teams that lost in Week 1 will look to avoid starting the season 0-2 with the Bucs-Vikings line at -2 in favor of the home team, Minnesota.  65 percent of those backing the spread in this game were on Tampa Bay.  The Bucs were also getting nearly all the money line action with the sports betting public believing they should win outright.

Quarterback Donovan McNabb will need a better showing this week at home to convince the fans he can still play.  He threw for just 39 yards -- the fewest in a game for the Vikings since 1971.  McNabb completed a mere 7 of 15 attempts.

The Vikings could get it done against a Tampa team that allowed Detroit’s Matthew Stafford to throw for 305 yards while completing 72.7 percent of his passes.  That said, the Bucs have won in Minnesota four consecutive times, the last appearance there in 2008.

Last year, the Buccaneers won 10 regular season games, most of them on the road.

The Buccaneers are 13-3 Against The Spread in their last 16 games as a road underdog.

They are also 1-7 ATS in their last 8 games after accumulating more than 250 yards passing in their previous game.

The Vikings are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games after allowing less than 90 yards rushing in their previous game.

Minnesota is 2-7 ATS in their last 9 vs. NFC.

They are, however, 8-2-1 ATS in their last 11 games as a home favorite.
