Fire Dick Jauron Billboard

Forget the fact that they won their second game of the season against the pretty good New York Jets on Sunday afternoon.  That hasn't stopped the folks in Buffalo from erecting a new billboard asking their Bills team to "Fire Dick Jauron".

Ryan Abshagen from New Freedom, Pa., raised enough money - $1,402 and counting as of Wednesday - through an Internet campaign to rent a billboard and advertise a message of discontent for everyone in Buffalo to see.

"I honestly never thought it would ever be this big," Abshagen said. "Fans are disgruntled. It's out there. It's big. People are going to hear about it."

The Bills have been rattled by injury woes and still played hard against the Jets on Sunday to grab a win so maybe file this one under "bad timing".

The Jets jumped out to a 13-3 halftime lead, but didn't score again despite Thomas Jones' team-record 210 rush yards. Jones is just the second Jet to top 200 yards rushing in a game -- Curtis Martin had 203.

The Bills had six interceptions in all, also picking off Sam Weatherford after a botched field goal in overtime. They entered the game with four interceptions all season.

A line on the Buffalo Bills vs. Carolina Panthers game was not available as of Monday afternoon.
