Matchup of Freshmen Quarterbacks
The BYU Cougars are led by Tanner Mangum as they lost starter Taysom Hill in their opening win over Nebraska. Mangum has not looked like a freshman as he has played extremely well and led the Cougars to two wins. BYU won their first two games thanks to Mangum throwing deep late in the game to pull out victories. On the other side, the UCLA Bruins have Josh Rosen who is expected to be the next great UCLA quarterback. "He's got a good arm and knows how to get the ball downfield," BYU linebackers coach Paul Tidwell said about Rosen who has thrown for 574 yards and four touchdowns with just one interception in two games.
