Cam Newton Super Bowl 50 MVP odds were coming in at -160, making him the odds-on favorite.  A $10 bet will pay $16 (the $10 will be refunded with a win).

Newton totaled 382 yards and four touchdowns in the Panthers rout of Carolina in the NFC Championship game.

The colorful Panthers QB also helped guide his team to a near perfect season with only a single loss.

Assuming the Panthers win, Newton’s odds of being named the Most Valuable Player are especially good.  Seven of the last ten Super Bowl MVPs have been quarterbacks.

"I think the Super Bowl means for us as a whole, from an organization to the Carolina Panthers to everybody who wears Carolina blue and black and bleeds Carolina blue and back, it's been a long time coming," Newton said of going to the big game.
