The Chargers vs. Texans spread opened as an early PICK and has since moved to Houston +3.  Yes the 3-5 Chargers are road favorites in this game vs. the 4-3 Texans.  Nearly 65 percent of those betting the spread were indeed favoring San Diego here.  The Texans money line would pay out $13 for every $10 bet and some 75 percent of those betting the money line were on Houston in this game.  The Chargers vs. Texans UNDER/OVER was set at 50.5.  That is the highest total of any NFL game this coming weekend.

So why on Earth would the Texans be a home underdog in this game when one considers they are 9-4 ATS in their last 13 games following both a Straight Up loss and an Against The Spread loss?  The Texans are also 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games as a home underdog while the Chargers are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 road games.

One of the most important trends to consider before betting on the Chargers-Texans game might be this: Between 2006-09, San Diego had the third-best winning percentage in the NFL during November, going 12-5, and it's been even better in December with an 18-0 mark.

The Chargers have won all three meetings against the Texans and Philip Rivers comes into this game leading the NFL with 2,649 passing yards.

Houston suffered a loss last week in Indianapolis where they went a dismal 0 for 6 on third down in the first half and trailed 17-3 by the break.  Quarterback Matt Schaub found himself sacked three times.
