Chelsea’s newest acquisition, Eden Hazard, performed brilliantly Sunday to deliver his club a 2-0 defeat over Wigan.  Hazard was listed at 50/1 odds to be the top goal scorer in the Premier League this season at some of the European bookmakers including Paddy Power and Blue Square.  BoyleSports and BetVictor even had Hazard with 66/1 odds.

So far, the footballer is off to a terrific start and was the toast of the town Sunday evening.

Manager Frank Lampard sung his praises.

Lampard told Sky Sports: “He (Hazard) was brilliant. It's a young age to come into the Premier League, no matter how good of a player you are.

“He showed the quality he has with the spin and the ball to put Ivanovic through and he showed great speed to get away from his man for the penalty. He was great to play with.”

Top 2012-2013 Premier League Goal Scorer Odds:

Carlos Tevez 9/1

Fernando Torres 9/1

Robin van Persie 9/1

Sergio Aguero 10/1

Wayne Rooney 10/1

Luis Suarez 20/1
