The coach's challenge prop bet was among the most sought out here at Gambling911.com for last year's Super Bowl and we anticipate the same in 2026 as the New England Patriots are set to take on the Seattle Seahawks.

Typically, each team is priced at -120 to see a coach's challenge in the Super Bowl

In more recent Super Bowls, the “Yes” option carries odds of -135, which means you will need to bet $135 to profit $100. To win the “Yes” bet, the first challenge that is made must be successful. The “No” option has odds of +110, which means a $100 bet would return $110.

A coach's challenge in the NFL is a request for instant replay review of a play. The head coach of either team can challenge a call by throwing a red flag onto the field before the two-minute warning in each half or overtime.

What can be challenged?

  •   Whether a runner crossed the goal line for a touchdown
  •  Whether a ball carrier fumbled before crossing the plane
  •  Turnovers, such as interceptions, fumbles, and muffed punts
  •  Failed fourth-down attempts

The odds of a coach's challenge occurring are pretty good.

Over the first 19 Super Bowls in the challenge era (since coaches were allowed to challenge plays), there have been 25 coach-initiated challenges total with some being overturned.  That means more coach's challenges than there have been actual Super Bowls.

As far as recent Super Bowls go, the NO coach's challenge may have some value based on the reward vs. risk.

There were no successful or used head coach's challenges in either last year's Super Bowl or Super Bowl LVIII on February 11, 2024.

As of the 2024 Super Bowl, over the previous 10 Super Bowls, there had been a total of eight coaching challenges and at least one coaching challenge in five of the 10 games.

Of the eight challenges, five of them have lost, while only three have been successful
