College Football Betting Odds Thursday September 1

The most lopsided betting action is coming in on Tennessee, which was seeing crazy action against a very capable Appalachian State team as a -20.5 home favorite.

The Mountaineers are widely expected to win their first FBS Conference title this season as they return most of their players, including nine on defense.  They have won 17 of their last 19 games and return 17 starters.

The OVER/UNDER regular season wins total was set at 9 with the UNDER priced at -125.  The OVER has value at -105.

Tennessee will come into this season with 15-1 odds of winning the College Football National Championship, the 7^th shortest in the NCAA.

"Everyone's optimistic. For the first time Thursday night, we'll put our initial football identity on video. We're responsible for what we create so we're looking forward to that," Volunteers coach Butch Jones said.

South Carolina vs. Vanderbilt will certainly see plenty of action even though neither team has high expectations for 2016. 

The line is right at Vandy -4.5.

South Carolina hasn’t won an SEC road game since 2014 and the home team is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 meetings.

The Gamecocks have won the last seven games in this series dating back to 2009, making them a pretty good betting value for Thursday night.
