The Dallas Cowboys odds to win the 2011 Super Bowl were at 9/1 at BetUS.com and Gambling911.com certainly believes there is some value in taking that number.

The payout would be $90 for every $10 bet or $900 for every $10 bet.

Positives Going For The Cowboys Coming Into This Season:

Of course, one of the positives is that Las Vegas and online bookmakers do have the Dallas Cowboys odds favoring a 2011 Super Bowl win, with only the Colts having shorter odds of winning at 8/1.  Keep in mind that the Cowboys have the potential to be the first home Super Bowl team in years.

The Cowboys won their first Playoffs game in 13 seasons last year.

“The playoff win really does have credible impact on the guys that we’re counting on to win some more playoff games,” Team owner Jerry Jones says. “Beyond that, I don’t think it means anything.”

The momentum surrounding the Cowboys is high this season especially when one considers the other NFC East teams do not come into the regular season as imposing as in past years.  Philadelphia lost its veteran quarterback, Donovan McNabb, while the Washington Redskins have issues with the so-called “Albert Haynesworth Drama”.

Head Coach Wade Phillips finally appears comfortable as coach of the Cowboys. Phillips is 34–17 (including playoffs) in his three seasons in Dallas.  That is the highest winning percentage in team history.

Quarterback Tony Romo’s turnovers were down to 13 in 16 games from 21 in 13 games the prior season and he had a career high of 4,483 passing yards and threw 26 touchdowns.

The running backs will also be solid for Dallas.

The receivers, even better.  Case in point: Miles Austin emerged to become one of the NFL’s elite receivers, catching 81 for 1,320 yards and 11 touchdowns.

It is the linebackers that should be Dallas’ shining start in 2010 however.

Negatives Going For The Cowboys Coming Into This Season:

Specialists, Defensive Backs and Defensive lineman provide the weakest link for this Dallas franchise. Left tackle Flozell Adams was lost as a result of economic cuts.

Special teams is of most crucial concern with Nick Folk missing 10 of 28 field goal attempts last season and Shaun Sulsham not exactly helping much either.
