Dolphins-Bucs Line has Miami -3 Amidst ‘Bullying’ Probe, Suspensions
The Dolphins-Bucs betting line had Miami as an early -3 favorite for next Monday Night’s game despite the bullying scandal that has left Miami without two of its key players.
The Dolphins suspended left guard Richie Incognito indefinitely for “conduct detrimental to the team in connection to allegations of harassment and bullying teammate Jonathan Martin.
“We believe in maintaining a culture of respect for one another,” the Dolphins said in a statement released shortly before midnight, “and as a result we believe this decision is in the best interest of the organization at this time. … We will continue to work with the league on this matter.”
Martin abruptly left the team last week under questionable circumstances, taking a leave of absence.
Martin’s lawyer made formal allegations of player misconduct that included sending racial texts to Martin and making threats against his family members. The text in question referred to Martin, who is bi-racial, as a “half-n*****.”
With Martin and Incognito both out of the lineup, Miami will not have a starting tackle or a guard going up against Tampa Bay.
