Favorites Perfect 6-0 in Playoffs Not Perfect for Bookies

Aside from the heavy action on New England, bookies have been spared to some degree by the fact that wagering has been mostly balanced on this year’s Playoffs games.

Traditionally the favorite in Playoffs games – and most games for that matter – tend to attract the most public action and, collectively, the books have been getting beaten down pretty badly as a result of all the Playoffs teams going 6-0 thus far ahead of the two Sunday games. (note this trend looked as if it was coming to an abrupt end as this was going to press with the Packers-Cowboys game still in progress)

The pain is less felt for bookies who utilize loss leaders provided by Pay Per Head services, however.  These include LIVE IN-PLAY WAGERING, online casino games and a host of wagering props.

“Yes we are getting hammered but it has been manageable,” one bookie, who wished to remain anonymous, told Gambling911.com.

The Patriots provided the biggest punch to date with an outright win that had sharps willing to pay a steep price but for a maximum reward.  Their covering the spread resulted in nearly 65 percent of the profit going towards gamblers.
