FSU 2015-2016 ACC Conference Championship Odds May Take Hit With More Bad News

(Gambling911.com Sports Wire) – First it was that horrifying video of quarterback De’Andre Johnson slugging a girl in a bar followed by a subsequent suspension, now comes word that FSU running back Dalvin Cook may be charged with battery, assuming State attorney Willie Meggs gets his way.

The Cook incident actually preceded what transpired with Johnson, occurring just one night previous.  Meggs claims Cook punched a 21-year-old woman in the face several times during an argument outside a bar last month.  On Friday the State attorney met with the alleged victim and a witness.

Meggs said Cook, a 19-year-old sophomore from Miami, will be charged with misdemeanor battery.

"I found the women to be very credible," Meggs said.

Florida State announced Cook's suspension Friday afternoon.

FSU can only take so many hits before the distractions become too much.  Oddsmakers and gamblers reaction to the news has been minimal with their chances of winning the ACC Conference Championship Game set at 3-1.  Their odds of winning the BCS Championship were slipping from 16-1 to 22-1 at Sportsbook.
