FSU vs. Georgia Tech Betting Preview August 24

The 2024 college football kicks off August 24 as the No. 10 Florida State Seminoles and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are set to play in Dublin, Ireland. The Seminoles are coming off a 13-1 season but were deprived of a playoff spot. Georgia Tech went 7-6 in 2023.

Florida State comes into this game as a -11 favorite without any type of home field advantage.

The Seminoles will have a favorable schedule for the first month of the year, then it does go down hill just a bit.

Some of the significant losses include arguably one of the best quarterbacks in program history (Jordan Travis). Additionally the Noles lost their leading rusher (Trey Benson), top two wide receivers (Keon Coleman, Johnny Wilson) and most productive tight end (Jaheim Bell).

But fear not.  Oregon State grad transfer DJ Uiagalelei will be arriving and should help to bolster this squad as the likes of Brock Glenn and Luke Kromenhoek are almost certain to play well this season.

A healthy Maurice Smith and offensive tackle Robert Scott Jr will also prove pivotal to this team's success or disappointment in 2024.

They are priced at -115 on both the Over and Under 9.5 regular season wins.

Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets

Georgia Tech is expected to win no more than 5 regular season games in 2024.

We don't expect much here with one of the toughest schedules in college football. Every FBS opponent it plays made the postseason last year.  Ouch.  The defense needs some serious work.
