Bookies suffered from a last minute cover by the public-backed Georgia Bulldogs Saturday.  Some 75 percent of the sports betting public did get to celebrate despite grim prospects throughout much of this game.

The Bulldogs beat North Carolina 33-24 as a -5.5 favorite.  They had been trailing by 10 at the start of the final quarter.  Following a series of scoring plays, Nick Chubb came through with a 55-yard touchdown run that put the Bulldogs over the 5.5 threshold needed to cover.  In total, Georgia scored the last 19 points of the game.

North Carolina backers certainly could not have been pleased.
