During the month of September “Georgia Football Betting” search queries typically peak at 74 out of 100 in the Peach State as a whole.  That number only drops to 64 by November.

Is it any wonder there are bookies throughout the state of Georgia with the highest concentration in areas where “College Football Betting” queries are most frequent as this is Bulldogs territory throughout.

Atlanta, Macon, Albany, Columbus, Savannah, Augusta each have search index numbers of 69 or higher for “College Football Betting” during the month of September with the highest concentration in the Macon area at 91 and Atlanta at 85.

The Bulldogs play in Athens, which is with the Athens-Clarke County Metropolitan area having a population of just under 200,000.  Athens is factored into the Atlanta region on Google Trends and search queries for “College Football Betting” there hit 100 last September.

The Bulldogs won national championships for two consecutive years but failed to make the 2024 College Football Playoff despite another really good season.  Bookies should have still realized a profit with the team only going 5-8 Against The Spread.  Throw in all that live betting and props offered by the Pay Per Head platform, along with the live dealer casino, and the money should have been amazing for area bookmakers and agents.

Bookies beware.  Georgia does consider aggravated gambling (facilitating of bookmaker) a felony.  That being said, the incidents of bookies being arrested and charged with a felony crime in the state of Georgia are especially rare based on public information gathered by Gambling911.com.  There are no express Internet gambling prohibition statutes in the state of Georgia either.
