The Giants-Redskins line was at 3.5 at half the online sportsbooks while the other half had the spread at -4.  New York is favored coming into Washington.  85 percent of the backing on the spread was going towards the Giants.  65 percent of the money line backing was on New York.  The total came in at 44.5 with 80 percent of gamblers on the OVER.

Why This Game Is Important:  Simply put, the Giants need to defeat Washington in order to make the Playoffs.  They’ll also need some help from another team in the league, the Green Bay Packers.  Green Bay will need to lose at home against the division leading Chicago Bears, who pretty much have nothing to play for.  The Bears were likely to rest their key players.

"We can't fault anyone but ourselves," safety Antrel Rolle said. "We had it in the grasp of our hands, and we didn't take advantage of the opportunities. Now, we have to leave it in the hands of something else. It's something in this league that you never, ever want to do."

Giants A Good Play For Sports Bettors:  New York has won 5 straight games in Washington.  They have also covered in the last five games of this series.  Another trend that has some significance in this game is that the Giants are 11-3 Against The Spread in their last 14 games as a road favorite.

“If the Giants fail to cover here, it would be because they’ve essentially given up and have no desire to go into the Playoffs,” says Don Shapiro of Gambling911.com.  “Expect head coach Tom Coughlin to get the axe as well.”

Washington has nothing to play for except pride.
