Move over Paul the Octopus.  Here comes Gizmo the Prognosticating Primate.  Gizmo will be making his picks for the NFL this season.

His home is Jungle Island here in Miami.

Zoo keepers simply put two teddy bears on a table and each one is adorned with an NFL team sticker. Whichever teddy bear Gizmo hugs is the one he thinks will win in that game.

Gizmo correctly chose the Miami Dolphins to beat the Buffalo Bills this past Sunday.

There is one problem with the primate where bettors are concerned.

“He is not picking based on the spread apparently,” Gambling911.com’s own prognosticator, Carrie Stroup, points out.

Stroup, we should point out, went 2-1 with her NFL Week 1 picks – all underdogs including the Seattle Seahawks and Houston Texans.  The two teams won outright.  Her other pick, the Philadelphia Eagles, nearly came from behind to win it.
