The Green Bay Packers odds to win the 2013 Super Bowl were coming in at 5/1 immediately after the announcement of Cedric Benson’s signing Sunday.

In 2011, Benson went on to record his first 1000 yard rushing season, setting the Cincinnati Bengals franchise record with six games where he rushed for over 100 yards.  He finished the season as the 8th leading rusher totaling 1251 yards having played a mere 13 games.  Benson went on to record a postseason record for the Bengals with 169 rushing yards against the New York Jets, a game Cincinnati would ultimately go on to lose.

Benson does not come without a whole lot of baggage, having been arrested on multiple occasions.

Unfortunately for the Packers, their leading tackler, Desmond Bishop, has suffered what could potentially be a season-ending injury.
