(Gambling911.com Fantasy Sports Wire) - New York Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul (JPP) injured his hands in an accident involving fireworks during a July 4 celebration.

Pierre-Paul was seen as a rising star entering this season, having racked up over 15 fantasy points in three of his final four games last season.

While the injuries are not believed to be career-ending, New York may not be willing to sign his $14.8 million tender.  JPP is not currently under contract.

The 26-year-old former first round pick was still meeting with doctors to determine the extent of his injuries.
