Julian Edelman, 31, led the Patriots with 95 catches and 1,106 receiving yards last year and now sports bettors and fans alike are left wondering how serious the injury might be.

The Patriots Super Bowl 52 futures remained on the board with 3/1 odds as of late Friday.

The wide receiver was carted off in the first season of Friday's preseason against the Detroit Lions with a knee injury just two minutes into the game after cutting on an 18-yard reception from Tom Brady.
