BetOnline has just released 49 potential Super Bowl matchups in order of most likely to least likely with the Los Angeles Rams vs Denver Broncos paying $1000 for every $100 bet if it happens.
LA Rams and Denver Broncos Playoffs
The Rams were set to face Carolina in Saturday's first Wildcard game where they were heavily favored by 11 points on the road with greater than 62% of the public backing on the spread as of Friday morning.
Matthew Stafford passed for 259 yards and threw two of his four touchdown passes to Colby Parkinson, and the Rams rallied to secure the No. 5 seed in the NFC playoffs with a 37-20 victory over Arizona in Week 18.
Tyler Higbee returned from injury with five receptions for 91 yards and a key fourth-quarter TD for the Rams (12-5), who will visit the NFC South champion Carolina Panthers (8-9) in the wild-card round.
Puka Nacua made a one-handed TD grab shortly before halftime among his 10 catches for 76 yards for the Rams.
“I like where we’re at right now," Rams head coach Sean McVay said. “Now we move forward, and what a great opportunity we’ve got to go to Carolina and see what the hell we can do.”
The Denver Broncos won their first AFC West title in a decade Saturday when the Houston Texans beat the Los Angeles Chargers 20-16.
The Broncos rolled into the postseason as the AFC’s top seed after the Broncos’ own 19-3 win over the Chargers to end the season.
Denver's head coach Sean Payton isn’t exactly exhuberant entering the playoffs.
“Look, am I ever happy? No,” Payton said after the Broncos’ 19-3 win over the Los Angeles Chargers’ backups Sunday secured a first-round bye and homefield advantage. “But we shouldn’t be as coaches.”
Still, the Broncos (14-3) tied a franchise record for most victories in a season and for the first time in a decade will host a playoff game in the divisional round next week.
“Yes, we have to clean some things up, and we will,” Payton said. “We’ll be ready.”
Denver will be off for the first weekend of the NFL Playoffs courtesy of their AFC top seed.
