Lawyer Milloy is coming to the Seattle Seahawks and this can only help a team that some say might win the NFC West.

Seattle was listed as a favorite to win OVER 8 regular season games in 2009 at Sportsbetting.com after last year's flop (caused mostly be injuries).  They were listed with 8/5 odds of winning the NFC West, although we hardly consider that much of a value.

From Pro Football Talk:
Alex Marvez of FoxSports.com is reporting that the Seahawks have signed Lawyer Milloy to take Russell's place. Milloy had 93 tackles and an interception in 15 regular season games for the Falcons in 2008, but they chose not to re-sign him this offseason in an attempt to get younger in the defensive backfield.

Milloy spent three years in Atlanta, and played under current Seahawks coach Jim Mora during his first year with the Falcons. Right now Jordan Babineaux and Deon Grant are set to start at safety for the Seahawks in the season opener, but it may be only a matter of time before Milloy replaces one of them.

While those of us at Gambling911.com might be down on the Seattle Seahawks, they are among our most desirable picks for Week 1 of the new 2009 NFL season.  That's because they are facing the St. Louis Rams. Against The Spread the Rams are 0-8 for the last three seasons during the month of September and that makes betting on Seattle a smart choice in Week 1 where we are concerned.
