Lionel Messi transfer window betting odds to sign for before 1st February 2017 with Manchester City was coming in at 7/1.
Messi’s future at FC Barcelona was tin question on Monday following a report in a Spanish newspaper that claimed the Argentinean superstar had backed away from plans to agree a new contract.
He was widely expected to agree to a contract extension.

The newspaper Marca, citing "unnamed sources," insisted Messi’s representatives have told club officials Messi would not be signing, and was planning to reevaluate his options at the end of his contract.
