Detroit comes into New England with an impressive 7-3 record Straight Up and has paid out to gamblers in five of their ten games this season while New England is 8-2 Straight Up with a 7-3 Against the Spread record.  These teams have only faced one another on seven occasions since 1985.

The Patriots are 10-3 ATS in their last 13 home games.  They have only lost three games Straight Up at home over the past three seasons.

Let’s look at the daily fantasy matchups for this game:

Tom Brady – The Lions are allowing the second-fewest fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks and this certainly does not bode well for the New England QB.  Detroit has relaxed somewhat over the past four weeks.  Brady is a perfect 5-0 record with 1,474 passing yards (294.8 per game), 15 TDs and only one INT.

Matthew Stafford – That Pats have been soft against the pass of late allowing the fifth-most fantasy points per game to opposing signal-callers since Week 6.

Calvin Johnson – The Patriots have allowed fourth-fewest fantasy points per game to opposing wideouts.

Rob Gronkowski – Detroit hasn’t permitted 75 yards to any tight end this season but Gronkowski does have 61 fantasy points over the past three games.
