Lions-Vikings Betting Line: Fantasy Value for Matt Asiata, Teddy Bridgewater

The Lions-Vikings betting line had Minnesota as a -2 home favorite.  This one opened at Detroit +1.5.   Part of the reason for the change in line has to do with Detroit star Calvin Johnson potentially not playing along with the return of Vikings rookie quarterback Teddy Bridgewater.

The Minnesota quarterback was solid against Atlanta two weeks ago but missed last week’s game vs. Green Bay. For fantasy player, Bridgewater is not the best option as he will be facing the league's stingiest defense to opposing fantasy quarterbacks.  The Lions are permitting just 11.2 fantasy points per game to QBs.

Meanwhile, Vikings running back Matt Asiata has performed admirably in place of Adrian Peterson.  When it comes to the daily fantasy contests, note that Asiata will be facing a Lions team that has allowed the eight-fewest fantasy points to opposing backs so far.

Asiata has totaled 150 rushing yards and scored three TDs on 35 carries, but most fantasy pundits suggest keeping him on the bench this week.

The Lions are 0-3-2 Against The Spread in their last 5 meetings in Minnesota while the Vikings are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 home games vs. a team with a winning road record.  Minnesota has lost only once at home in the last five games there against Detroit, and that was in overtime.  In the series, the Vikings are 6-4 Straight Up vs. the Lions.
