Marquis Pouncey Injury Major Setback for Steelers Super Bowl Chances
It’s official. Marquis Pouncey won’t be playing in the Super Bowl for the Steelers. He was placed on the injured reserve list Saturday evening. It should be noted Pouncey was officially ruled out on Friday.
MGM-Mirage properties, director of sportsbook operations, Jay Rood, summed it up like this:
“He’s a guy who touches the ball every play and that’s obviously pretty big,” Rood said. “When we saw the early money on Green Bay, I was pretty sure that someone had some information on Pouncey.”
The rookie center has a high left ankle sprain, an injury suffered in the AFC Championship against the New York Jets. Pouncey has been unable to practice ever since.
Center-guard Dorian Brooks was signed from the practice squad to take Pouncey's roster spot.
