BetOnline became the first online sportsbook to begin offering odds on NFL prospect Michael Sam Draft round pick Monday.

BetOnline

Sam made news this past weekend after announcing that he was gay.  If chosen in the Draft, Sam would become the first openly gay player in the National Football League (though we trust some oddsmakers like BetOnline could begin offering odds on whether a current NFL player beats him to the punch prior to the Draft).

BetOnline has taken the wagering opportunities a step further by offering odds on each round where Sam is likely to be drafted: 1st Rd +2500, 2nd +1200, 3rd +325, 4th +200, 5th +225, 6th +450, 7th +850, N/D +1800.

Dave Mason of BetOnline anticipates the interest in this story will be so strong his company is likely to offer odds on which team will ultimately select Sam.
