Michigan Unveils Special New Uniform to be Worn During Outback Bowl

The Michigan Wolverines will sport a special limited time only new uniform to be worn only during their Outback Bowl (New Year’s Day 2013) game against South Carolina.  They will auction the uniform off after this game.

The jersey will be white (as noted), with blue across the shoulders and down to the sleeves. The phrase "It's Great To Be A Michigan Wolverine" will be stitched into the inside neck of the jersey and will be displayed on blue and white undershirts (we won't see them, but they'll be there). The helmet will have a navy matte finish and traditional maize wings.

"I love them," said quarterback Denard Robinson. "We only saw a photo of them early in the year, but I think they look even better. It will be fun, but we know we're going to Tampa to play a football game and a great team in South Carolina, so we have to stay focused."

Michigan was a +5 underdog vs. South Carolina as of press time December 18.
