(November 26, 2022) - We had seen the line on the Michigan Wolverines vs. Ohio State game November 26 ranging anywhere from Buckeyes -6.5 to -8 very early.  The line was trending towards -8.5.  Coming into Week 12, the Wolverines were among the few remaining undefeated teams (along with Ohio State). When all was said and done, the Wolverines managed to remain undefeated after handing Ohio State their first loss, and it was a bad one at that: 45-23.

Michigan Wolverines @ Ohio State Buckeyes

With a number of 7.65 for this game in Ohio State's favor, this one was sitting right smack in the middle of the early line range (6.5 to 8).

Though Michigan did win last season, Ohio State had won eight straight prior to that time.  Using the current spread, only five were covers.

The Wolverines nearly gave up their undefeated reign to a feisty Fighting Illini team November 19.

Wolverines quarterback J.J. McCarthy completed 18 of 34 passes for 208 yards, and running back Blake Corum rushed for 108 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries.

Ohio State did manage to beat Maryland in their previous game, but by only 13 points with a spread of 27.

Michigan Wolverines Recent Line Trends

November 26, 2022 - @ Ohio State +7.5 to +8 - Michigan covers and wins outright.  This one was on the money.  The dog had gone 3-6 with an accurate line in this range.

Illinois had been a +17.5 dog much of the week. Gambling911.com had a number that was right on the money at 17.53.  They don't get much better than that.

The only single digit line of the season was versus Penn State where the Wolverines opened as a -7.5 home favorite with the line dropping to -7.  Michigan won this game in a big way, 41-17.  There was actually a 4 to 4.5 underlay.

Underlays (including the Penn State-Michigan game) of greater than 4 points (and not under that number at any time during the week) had gone 12-2.

A good comparable for this game included: Missouri  +8 to +7.5 vs. Kansas with the favorite Wildcats winning big and an underlay of 5.5 to 6 points.
