Bookies throughout the great state of Minnesota have taken a major hit this season with their home team Vikings walking away with the second best NFL record Against The Spread, only behind Cincinnati.

It’s not just bookies in Minnesota.  While Vikings fans span the entire nation, Vikings Country encompasses the entire state of Minnesota, all of North Dakota, the Eastern half of South Dakota and a wide swath of Northern Iowa.

The 10-5 Vikings failed to cover in only three games this season leading into Week 17.

Local bookies having utilized the services of offshore Pay Per Heads were left a little more unscathed, though banged up nonetheless.  Such Pay Per Head businesses offer live wagering and other loss leaders such as online casinos.

To put this in better perspective, bookies servicing the wide Vikings fan base would have had 12 losing weeks out of 16 coming into the final week.  OUCH!
