Mississippi State Winning College Football Championship Could Pay Out $120k

Don’t look now but the team that made it to the BCS Title game last season, Auburn, has just been stunned by Mississippi State, a school with odds of winning the 2015 College Football Championship set at 120/1 entering this season.  And number-three ranked Mississippi State did it in a big way, winning 38-23.

You won’t get 120/1 odds any more but chances are a few people did bet on the Bulldogs early.

The Mississippi defense forced four turnovers in this game, helping them to become only the 5th College Football team in history to beat three straight AP top-10 teams.

This was the biggest home game in the school’s history.  Starting quarterback Dan Prescott, who entered the Heisman trophy conversation last week, ran for two touchdowns and threw for another.

It wasn't all about Prescott, however.  Josh Robinson ran for 97 yards and two touchdowns while De'Runnya Wilson caught four passes for 72 yards, including a 34-yard touchdown catch.

"Every time we needed to make a play, a guy stepped up and made a play," Bulldogs head coach Dan Mullen said. "We always wondered how to take the next step in this league ... that's it."

Mississippi State is the only team in the last two seasons to hold Auburn to fewer than 75 rushing yards outside the tackles on designed runs.
