ESPN reports that the money keeps piling in on the New England Patriots, leading some Vegas books to have no other choice but to move the line up a half point off the dreaded 3.

That number is critical as more games fall on 3 and 7 in terms of margin of victory than any other number in the NFL.

From ESPN:

At Caesars Palace sportsbooks, five times as much money had been wagered on the Patriots compared to the underdog Broncos. At William Hill's Nevada book, 85 percent of the money bet was on New England. The story was the same almost everywhere. Barring a dramatic rush of game-day money on the Broncos, Vegas will be a big Peyton Manning fan on Sunday.

Asked what it would take to bump up the Patriots to -3.5, Nick Bogdanovich of William Hill told ESPN, "a lot more money."

A few of the recreational books have moved the line all the way to New England -4.

For local New England bookies, the need for an offshore Pay Per Head offering impulsive live wagering and an online casino platform is higher than ever before.
