Nebraska - Kansas State Picks

Nebraska – Kansas State picks for Thursday night’s games appear below and are from a variety of top sources.

D.S. Williamson of BetUS.com:

The lines on college football for this game, if anything, should be much higher than 12 points.  I just feel that Nebraska’s going to really step it up this Thursday night.  They’re going to take down the K-State Wildcats and should be considered a good bet to cover the lines on college football spread.

An observation from DonBest.com and Adam Markowitz:

The last time that the Wildcats won a game in this series was back in 2004, a 45-21 win here in the "Little Apple." Since that point, it has been absolutely all Nebraska. Big Red has an aggregate score line of 194-90 in five games since 2005. The most impressive showing was a 73-31 beat down in Lincoln in 2007 as 7 ½-point underdogs.

The 'Huskers are only 3-7 ATS in their last ten against Kansas State, though. Both teams are hot right now, as Nebraska is 6-2 ATS in its last eight played on the road, while KSU is 7-3 ATS in its last ten overall.

ESPN.com’s Scout Inc. picks Nebraska to dismantle Kansas State in this game:

Kansas State should be able to stay close early thanks to emotion and the home crowd, but the Wildcats' lack of athleticism at the second level and lack of depth up front eventually will catch up with them. Martinez and Helu will break a few big runs on offense and the Huskers will stack the box on defense in order to slow Thomas and force the game onto Coffman's shoulders. Nebraska will generate enough pressure to force Coffman into a few ill-advised throws that result in turnovers that seal the deal.
