New Orleans Saints Daily Fantasy Football Picks 2015: Avoid Drew Brees?

Gambling911.com has your New Orleans Daily Fantasy Football picks for 2015 with early season pricing courtesy of StarFantasyLeagues.com and subject to change.

The Saints are -125 favorites to win at least 9 regular season games but they lost so many weapons and couldn’t even make the post season last year.

Sure Brees has been a top 5 fantasy quarterback the past few years.  It’s difficult to see this trend continuing.  Last year, he failed to reach 5,000 passing yards for the first time since 2010.

The losses included the likes of Jimmy Graham, Kenny Stills and Pierre Thomas.  In their place, younger unproven players such as Brandin Cooks and C.J. Spoiler among others.  There were downgrades at the tight end position as well.

Still, during the month of September, one might be able to find value selecting Brees in Week 2 against a team like the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who he has managed to play well against over the years.

The Bucs finished 25th in the NFL last year on defense, but defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier is feeling confident coming into Sunday.

“I think just some of the things we saw last year – the way our guys did when it came to points allowed, what we did in our rush defense,” Frazier said. “We finished in the Top 10 in that area. Just some of the things, the foundation was, kind of, laid and then what we’ve done this offseason as well. The familiarity with our players and what we asking them to do and how we want them to do it. All those things contribute to why we think we will be an improved group. We’ve added some pieces. We think adding Henry Melton should help us. Adding [Tony] McDaniel should help us as well. Having a new middle linebacker who, although he’s a rookie, that will help us. We think our secondary is deeper now. We think we are a little more talented in the secondary. We have some reasons to believe we will be better across the board.”
