The New York Jets odds to win the 2010 Super Bowl were set at 150/1 prior to this weekend's big win in Indianapolis.  Some would argue that it was the Colts themselves who ensured a loss by removing Quarterback Peyton Manning from the game early on and thus eliminating their chances for a perfect season.  Others, especially sports bettors, observed that the Jets had beaten a team that most have made the favorite to win the 2010 Super Bowl.

And with a payout potential of $15,000 on every $100 bet, the New York Jets odds to win the 2010 Super Bowl could prove a worthwhile bet.  They control their own destiny now and can clinch a Playoffs spot with a win at home over the Cincinnati Bengals next week.   (note that the New York Jets odds to win the 2010 Super Bowl will be updated at betED.com on Tuesday).

The Jets outscored the Colts 19-0 in the second half once Peyton Manning was out of the game...for good.

At 8-7, the Jets are tied with Denver, Baltimore, Pittsburgh and Houston in the race for the two wild-card playoff spots in the American Football Conference, however, New York does not need any help from other teams as they control their own destiny.  A win next week against the Cincinnati Bengals, and the world is their oyster.

The New York Jets had shorter odds to win the 2010 Super Bowl entering the season.  They came in at 35/1.
