Week 8 NFL Tips and Strategies
We start with the Thursday Night Football Game between the Jaguars and Titans, which would normally not be seeing this type of action if not in primetime. Tennessee was a -3.5 home favorite. This line hasn’t moved so we are not seeing much of an opinion.
It’s the Patriots who will be getting the most betting action this week in Buffalo.
This one opened at New England -5.5 and has since moved to -6.5.
There is so much exposure here as New England is getting 78 percent of the action on the spread and a whopping 93 percent of the backing on the money line, which only requires a $26.50 bet to win $10 (the $26.50 is refunded as long as New England wins).
Should we see books moving down off the 6.5 in a more robust fashion, we would definitely believe the books have a solid opinion on a Bills cover. As of Thursday morning, we are not seeing this just yet. There are indications that this could happen though.
Oakland is seeing 70 percent action versus Tampa Bay at +1.5. This one opened as a PICK’EM. Early indications are that the books are trying to get money on Oakland despite the 70 percent backing. This indicates that bookmakers believe Tampa Bay will likely cover here.
